Reffett Associates Announces Recruitment Partnership with the Library of Congress
Reffett Associates launched a nationwide search for Deputy Director, ABA at the oldest federal cultural institution in the nation.
Reffett Associates has partnered with the Library of Congress (LOC), the oldest federal cultural institution in the nation and the largest library in the world, to recruit for the executive leadership role of Deputy Director, ABA. The role supports the Library's goal to “build and enrich Library collections and content,” leading the acquisition and development of both domestic and international items.
With a collection that grew by 175.7 million items in 2022, the Deputy Director will support the Library's objectives of increasing accessibility and making its unique collections available in the ways users need them. The role will also play a significant part in the Library's digital transformation.
The Library of Congress has more than 3,200 personnel and an annual operating budget of $838.9 million. It hosted 370,000 in-person visitors and more than 151 million online visitors in 2022, adds more than 10,000 items to its collections every day, and houses the original personal library of Thomas Jefferson.
